Terms and Conditions of Sale – CarVerif.fr

Last updated: 15 September 2025

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (the “Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between CarVerif.fr, operated by Metra AP OÜ, a private limited company incorporated under Estonian law, with its registered office at Luha 2B, 93810 Kuressaare, Estonia, phone +372 45 39363, email teenindus@metra.ee (hereinafter “CarVerif”), and any natural or legal person (hereinafter the “Customer”) making a purchase on the website www.carverif.fr (hereinafter the “Site”).

1. Purpose

CarVerif.fr offers online vehicle history reports for French and foreign registrations.

These Terms set out the rights and obligations of the parties in connection with the ordering and use of these services.

2. Acceptance of the Terms

The Customer acknowledges that they have read these Terms before placing an order and declares that they accept them without reservation.

Validation of the order constitutes full and complete acceptance of these Terms.

3. Products and Services

CarVerif.fr provides vehicle history reports containing information available from official and partner databases (such as mileage, reported accidents/claims, import/export status, manufacturer recalls, etc.).

CarVerif cannot guarantee the absolute completeness of the information (some data may be unavailable depending on the country, age, or registration status of the vehicle).

4. Orders

The Customer selects the desired product, enters the vehicle registration number and/or VIN, and then proceeds to payment.

The order is confirmed once payment has been received and generates a report that is made available online and/or sent by email.

5. Prices

Prices are indicated in euros (€), all taxes included (VAT).

CarVerif reserves the right to change its prices at any time; however, the price applied will be the one in force at the time the order is placed.

6. Payment

Payment is due immediately upon ordering and may be made by bank card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or any other payment method offered on the Site.

Payments are processed securely via approved payment service providers (such as Stripe, Mollie, etc.).

7. Delivery of the Report

The report is generally available within a few seconds or minutes after payment has been validated.

In the event of a delay or temporary unavailability of partner databases, the Customer will be informed by email.

8. Right of Withdrawal

Under applicable EU and Estonian consumer law on digital content, the right of withdrawal does not apply to digital content supplied immediately after payment, where the Customer has given prior express consent to the immediate supply and acknowledged that they thereby lose their right of withdrawal.

Therefore, any validated order is firm and final and cannot give rise to a refund, except in the event of an error attributable to CarVerif (report not delivered or delivered incorrectly).

9. Liability

CarVerif undertakes to provide information that is as reliable and up to date as possible, but cannot be held liable for:

  • any omissions or errors in the data provided by partner databases;

  • the Customer’s interpretation or use of the information;

  • any direct or indirect damage resulting from the use of the report.

The Customer remains solely responsible for their decision to purchase a vehicle and for any checks or inspections they may wish to carry out in addition to the report.

10. Customer Support

For any question or complaint, the Customer may contact customer support at:

  • 📧 Email: support@carverif.fr

  • 📞 Phone: 09 72 72 72 72 (local-rate call, Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00, Paris time)

11. Personal Data Protection

CarVerif undertakes to comply with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation).

The data collected (such as registration number, email address, payment details) are necessary to process the order and are not sold to unauthorised third parties.

The Customer has the right to access, rectify and delete their personal data by contacting: dpo@carverif.fr.

12. Intellectual Property

All elements of the Site (including, but not limited to, logo, texts, design, structure, and databases) are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Any partial or total reproduction or representation without prior written authorisation is strictly prohibited.

13. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Estonian law.

Unless mandatory provisions of another jurisdiction apply (for example in favour of a consumer), any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance shall be submitted to the competent courts of Estonia.
